Experis AG is looking for his client in Berlin for a German and English speaking GAP Basis Administration and Support Specialist:

Summary
The scope of services includes SAP Basis Administration and Support activities within a SAP Banking Services Platform. The person holding this position will be part of a dedicated team and mainly work on administration and monitoring services around the SAP system environment. Regular activities include performance and table space monitoring, as well as analysis and resolution process of incidents or errors that may impact the operational availability. Also, related activities like archiving, backup, application of OSS notes and code fixes, execution of transports, monitoring and administration of system- & application interfaces, will also be required within the assignment. Additional tasks may include the participation on specific projects, like system upgrades, tuning activities, DR or Data archiving, or similar activities as required and based on the specific candidates experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Administration of SAP Banking Services Landscape (3-Tier)
- Secure and support operational readiness of entire SAP Landscape as per defined SLAs
- Effective & timely resolution of Incidents, securing the System-availability as per defined SLA
- Support activities around 2nd. Level and 3rd Level incidents/calls related to SAP administration
- Pro-active Problem Management activities like Health-monitoring activities (Syslog, Table-space, Performance, Early Watch, Security, etc.), Performance Analysis, Patches, general System-Maintenance and -optimization.
- Re-active Problem Management activities like resolution of problem tickets from L1/L2 incidents, Root cause analysis, pro-active creation of improvements that will prevent future incidents and/or improve the resolution process
- Change- and Release Management activities like Installation (SAP System & Client Copies, Oracle, SAP-Notes, Languages), HACAMP, Upgrades, Support Stacks, Patches, Tuning of Parameter, SQL Analysis upon request, System Documentation
- Participation on related Project activities as required
- Participation on rotating call duties within the operational support activities (onsite/remote).

Skills
-
2+ years' experience in the area of SAP Basis Administration

Preferably exposure to SAP Banking Services Environment

Familiar with SAP & Oracle DB Operations/Services

Core knowledge & technical skills in the areas of: ABAP, Java, SAP Solution Manager, Transport Management System, Data Archiving, BW, SAP Security & Authorizations, Oracle, AIX

Ability to work independently within a dedicated SAP Basis team and the desire to provide excellent service to internal customers

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Good command of German and English
