Doors Administration Engineer for an inter-governmental organization in Darmstadt, Germany

For our customer, an inter-governmental organization located in Darmstadt/Germany we are looking for a Doors Administration Engineer.

Candidates must have a passport of an EU member state or a valid work permit for Germany

TASKS

• Installation and maintenance of the DOORS client and server software, including testing
• Installation, customization, maintenance and upgrades of DOORS
• Maintenance and improvements of existing tools (DXL, Word macros, HTML, JavaScript);
• Integration between DOORS and other information systems (eg Document Management System, Configuration Management, Anomaly Processing Tool);
• Creation and testing of regular DOORS server backups;
• DOORS User and access rights administration;
• Provision of first level support for DOORS;
• Provision of user training for DOORS and/or specific DOORS customizations;
• Supporting the import/export of requirements to/from DOORS;

PROFILE

In addition to having a university degree in computer science, software engineering the consultant shall have as a prerequisite:

• At least 5 years professional experience in using DOORS for requirements management;
• At least 3 years professional experience in administering DOORS;
• At least 3 years professional experience of DXL;
• Experience in providing DOORS user support;
• Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2;
• Proven experience in formal documentation, preferably in an ISO 9001 certified project
• In addition to the above requirements, experience/knowledge in the following areas shall be considered a distinct advantage:
• Experience in using DOORS for verification management;
• Knowledge of Tomcat, Apache;
• Knowledge of LDAP/AD;
• Knowledge of and experience with HTML/JavaScript
• Knowledge of and experience with Java;
• Knowledge of ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration management.
• The work requires a team player with the ability to work efficiently in a small team environment. The variety of the tasks requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to take your own initiatives.
• The working language for the position is English and therefore the consultant must be able to work effectively in this language. French knowledge is an advantage.
