We are looking for a UI-Designer to work at our multinational client in Munich/Germany.
The UI Designer shall have a comprehensive knowledge of user interface design and usability/ergonomics problematic. This should be justified by several years of training and proven experience in UI design and/or ergonomics. We need the services of a UI Designer that show very good skills in producing user-centred UI design.
Tools, methods and processes used shall include but not be limited to the MS Office Suite of applications, as well as the current set of web development tools (mainly HTML5, JavaScript jQuery, CSS3 for Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.6). The UI Designer shall also have knowledge of ISO norms (9241) or other international standards (WCAG 2.0) and be very aware of their implications for setting up and scoping projects.
Other aspects of the work of the UI designer might be analysis of the existing tools and systems, understanding of the data model and migration needs, definition of an information architecture, and indication of changes in the procedure that will be required. We expect UI Designers, in order to understand the objectives of this project, to conduct user evaluations of the UI concept. The UI Designers shall display excellent English writing skills.
Main Tasks:

Technical Skills:
- HTML5, JavaScript, Jquery, CSS3 for Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.6
- ISO 9241 or other international standards (WCAG 2.0)
- MS Office Suite including Microsoft Visio
Professional Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of user interface design and usability/ergonomics problematic.
- Several years of training and proven experience in UI design and/or ergonomics.
- Excellent analytical skills and a fast understanding of the user requirements
- Understanding of the data model and migration needs
- Able to work in a team
- Excellent English writing skills, a good ability to speak the language,
- German or French skills are an advantage.
