Our client is operating more than ten sites across Asia (Taiwan, China, Singapore, India), Europe and Middle East (Germany, Austria, Latvia) and US. To ensure that cooperation between all users is optimized and a state of the art toolset for business applications as well as for development platforms is made available our client is searching for a
Service Manager

for the areas of IT Infrastructure Support – Service Management (ITIL) and Virtual Environments




Our client's IT infrastructure is based in major parts on systems (clients and servers) which are using Microsoft technology in terms of operating systems, data bases, collaboration techniques  and directories. 
Since its IT operations have been outsourced you will be responsible for supporting, monitoring and controlling the ITIL based Service Delivery of the Infrastructure provider. Besides the review and enhancement of Service Management reports it is crucial for us to have someone in our IT team who is pro-actively looking into users' issues and complaints as well as pending Incident and Service request tickets, understanding them with technical know-how, and caring about them with common sense. As experienced technical expert in IT infrastructure you should also be able to understand a complex IT environment in general and especially when it comes to virtual environments based on Microsoft and Citrix technologies. In this area you should be able to support the IT infrastructure team in designing and organizing the virtual environment worldwide. This includes also the peripheral basic infrastructure environment like DNS and DHCP, etc.). In addition to the technical skills the person we are searching for should be reliable, motivated and be able to work self-reliantly on defined topics.


Areas of responsibility:
To monitor service delivery based on agreed service levels to all users
To control the service levels, service quality to be delivered to all users
To report service delivery based on agreed service levels to IT management
To interactively elaborate the user needs and complaints 
To communicate the IT infrastructure definitions and quality of services to users 
Windows based VMs on vSphere
Virtual desktops based on Citrix/Netscalar technologies




Erforderliches Know-How:

 




Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or adequate experience based on a technical/scientific discipline
3 years of work experience of which at least 1,5 years in the area of Service Delivery.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
ITIL experience
Analytical problem-solving skills, consulting skill; flexibility and willingness to maintain technical skills at a state of the arts level
Team player and teamwork: ability and willingness to motivate and support other engineers
Ability to act on your own initiative and to take responsibility and accountability
Network as well as end user computing experience is a plus
Technical Profile:
Expert level in 3 of the following areas: (ITIL, Windows, MS Office, Microsoft Licensing models, Virtualization, Virtual Desktops, Citrix/Netscalar)
Fluent in English and German
