Experienced IN/VAS/Messaging Support Engineer for one of our clients.Tasks:
- Receive incidents related to VAS/Messaging Network through functional escalation and provide support
- Contact 3rd party suppliers to solve/ problems requiring support of the vendors
- Validating and maintaining the known error database (KEDB) for IN/VAS/Messaging Nodes
- Identify opportunities for improvement and evaluate alternative solutions
- Update and maintain data used for reporting on technical and service capabilities
- Track and report recurring problems or failures and provide associated consequences of problems if there is a business impact to customer
- Recommend solutions to address recurring problems or failures
- Flag all Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents that require root cause analysis
- Network design, Engineering, implementation, and testing for SMSCs, MMSCs, voicemail systems, and/or visual voicemails systems
- Integration, testing and rollout of new systems and system software versions into the production network.
- Integration of messaging systems with B/OSS systems
- Supporting customer support in investigating customer problems and issues
- Working with equipment vendors for the planning of new features and capabilities
- Day to day operation and support of wireless network infrastructure
requirements:
- Knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS core networks
- Knowledge in SMSC/MMSC protocols and routing
- Experience with cellular voicemail platforms including visual voicemail.
- Good understanding of SS7, SIGTRAN and IP
- Hands-on experience with Unix and/or Linux server based systems, including hardware setup, configuration and cabling
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Self-directed, self-starter
- Languages German (fluent), English
- Must be EU citizen
