Description:
Sperry Partners Group is urgently looking for an experienced SAN/NAS Storage Expert for an on-going project in Greater Dusseldorf, Germany.
Tasks:
Role & Responsibilities
- You will involve in designing and implementation of the Storage, SAN, and NAS solutions for Energy & Utility Client in Germany.
- You will take up DR assessment and implementation engagement which involves detailed study to recommend the tactical and strategically solution to customer and also implement the same.
- You are responsible for solution implementation to customer.
- Sizing of VTL, Tape library and defining the backup policies.(For any vendor product)
- Array: EMC VNX Unified Storage
- Backup Technologies: Data Domain, Symantec Netbackup, EMC Networker.
Profile
- Should be well versed with SAN technologies
- Should be well versed with storage Solution design and implementation with EMC VMX.
- Should have hands on experience in setting up the fresh Storage setup for Exchange Solution on VMX
- Should be well versed with Symantec Based Backup and EMC Networker implementation.
- Sound knowledge on troubleshooting Storage issues
- Must have had hand-on experience on at least two vendor products on Storage backup and archival (EMC and HP)
- Should know backup technologies and vendors
- Should have storage migration experience.
- Should have hands on experience in designing DR solution for EMS VMX with synchronous and asynchronous replication.
- Well versed with SAN zoning and Switch technologies.
Skills
- Extensive experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining storage environment
- Working knowledge of UNIX and windows operating systems.
- Good understanding of EMC disk and replication technologies.
- Working experience installing, configuring, and using EMC's Replication Manager (server and client), versions 4 and 5.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to deliver professional engagement documentation.
Certifications:
Any industry standard certifications on Storage and Backup
