Role Purpose
- Responsible for solution architectures(systems, infrastructure, network, information, data, software ) in the Collaboration domain (architecture ownership)
- Bridge between business demand, enterprise architecture and service architectures in the collaboration space through design of flexible, adaptive, scalable, cost-effective, solution architectures
- Ensure the balance between Business view, Development view, End user view and Operational view in technical architectures.

- Generating solution architecture design, proposals and concepts which fit with the organisation's enterprise architecture. - that are cost-effective, scalable, flexible and simple.
- Provide technical directions, advice and choices in the overall Collaboration architectural context
- Maintain the solution architectures in pace with the changing requirements, new business needs and technology evolution.
- Bridge the gap between developers, business analysts, transition managers, and integration & Solution design managers in the Collaboration Domain
- Guarantee technical quality of design and developments by close collaboration with software vendors & developers
Customer, supplier & third parties
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders from the business, project and operations teams, business analysts, integration design teams, development & architecture communities ,vendors, GA & IT Services management
Innovation and Change
- Anticipate on technological evolutions in the Collaboration space
- Continuously innovate by surveying the market landscape for the latest solution insights, direction, vendors, and best practices
Leadership & Teamwork
- Functionally oversee integration design managers, product owners, developers to lead in the right technological direction
- Closely collaborate with business analysts to provide direction to technical demand & requirement management.
- Provide strong guidance in terms of architecture, design & development to Software developers, Product Managers, Integration Design managers and Application managers
- Ensure architecture/design standards and methodologies are consistently applied in product development & integration design in the Collaboration domain
Knowledge and experience
- 5+ years' experience with business information systems integration or custom business application design and development in a professional technology consulting, corporate MIS or software development environment.
- Broad and general technical knowledge, as well as deep competencies in areas like IT infrastructure, data models, service orientation; good understanding of enterprise architecture.
- Deep knowledge in programming, technology frameworks, standards and technical modelling.
- Experience on multiple Hardware and Software Environments (for.eg- distributed, desktop, and mobile) and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and component level
- Business analysis and business process understanding.
- Must possess an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Collaboration technologies (eg SharePoint server , Multifarm/Crossfarm Environments, MS Data Protection Manager, SCOM), Database knowledge (eg SQL ), Development knowledge (eg PowerShell Scripting, development Frameworks)
Communication
- Communicate and share ideas verbally, both orally and in writing, to all levels of, business sponsors, and technical resources(development, design, delivery) in clear concise language that is suited to each audience
- Production of regular status reports and updates.
- Presentations to the Collaboration Programmes, architecture communities, and management layers on all relevant subject matter areas.
