I am working with a global leader in chipsets for the telecoms industry. This company regularly feature in the top 20 sales leaders for the semiconductor industry. They are looking for a Layer 1 Software Engineer who can bring their expertise in the customer facing development team. You will be required to work on site at their development site in Southern Germany.
Location: Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Duration: 6 months
Rate: €60-70 per hour
KEY TASKS
- Design and development of Layer 1 software for mobile phones based on customer and protocol standards requirements
- Problem solving with regard to Layer 1 software
- Participate in integration and test of Embedded software with Layer 1
SKILLS
- Design and implementation of physical layer software for wireless technologies
Protocol stack development experience in MAC/L1 - Strong programming ability with Embedded C and Real Time operating systems (RTOS)
- Knowledge of 3GPP specifications (with a focus on Layer 1)
- Expertise in at least one of GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, WiMAX, WCDMA
- Good in analytic and problem solving skills
