Our public sector client currently seeks an experienced Ground Station Software Engineer to join their Darmstadt based office on a 1 year contractual basis.
Candidates shall have at least five years of hands-on experience with at least five of the following:
* Open VMS and Windows operating system;
* Ground Stations Monitoring and Control and Baseband equipment;
* Monitoring & Control software application Maintenance and Configuration;
* TCP/IP, SNMP, Serial and GPIB based communications;
* Operations of Ground Stations used for Geostationary and Polar satellites;
* Large ground stations maintenance;
* Spacecraft telemetry telecommand and ranging standards;
* Antenna tracking techniques;
* C++ and Java programming languages and XML;
* Long-term maintainability analysis and integrating software into a new operating system and/or across computer platforms
