Position: Oracle and UDB Database Administrator
Skill Level: Practitioner (i.e. Consultant level)
Description:
Production Support UDB/LUW DBA with Production Support experience covering a large support portfolio.
Technical Skills (Must Have):
Excellent UDB on LUW knowledge V8/V9
Strong AIX and Linux skills
SAP basis support know how
Oracle 11g
Analytical skills
Must speak/write German and English fluently
Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
DB2 Stored Procedures and SQL PL
Shell scripting
RMAN
Data Guard
OEM
Other Skills:
Trouble-shooting UDB/LUW production environments
Ability to address complex database issues.
Pro-actively monitor performance of the Production systems.
Investigates, reviews and recommends adoption of new features and utilities.
Tuning
Provide in-depth direction related to DBMS features and to assist project teams
Upgrades / Patch DBMS
Excellent communication skills.
Able to work as part of a cross-functional team.
