URGENTLY - The TAS (Time, Attendance & Scheduling) Project is a German market specific implementation

The project aims to provide an accurate time recording system for the 2,000+ staff employed by Starbucks in Germany and to store that data together with the sales and transactional data for each store in order to provide for an automated staff scheduling system based on optimum resource planning. In addition the data so captured will form the basis of each month's payroll,

The key software to be deployed is a German solution, ATOSS, which will require a number of interfaces to be created to & from existing systems to allow for the required data to be collected.

The ATOSS system provides for full German legal and statutory compliance and is web based to allow staff to access the system both from the office and at home.

The project to deploy this into the German market will consist of a minimum of two phases, the phases being limited on the number and complexity of interfaces required. It is not as yet determined if the additional phases will launch immediately after this initial phase, therefore this role, and terms of reference concerns itself only with the phase 1 deployment

Job Description

This role is to provide the technical design for the TAS project in respect of the interfaces between the ATOSS system and the source record systems. In the case of this phase of the project the key interfaces are; the Micros Res POS system for time data, the Sales Audit system for sales data, Climate data from web based sources and output to an external payroll system. Future phases may include Location Master Data (oracle EBS) and HR data (SAP), the initial solution must be designed with these features in mind to allow for future extensions.

In addition to the technical Analysis and design which should be to a level that external vendors may code the interface routines, the role requires that system test scripts are created, together with test data, to test the interface section. It is anticipated that some system test execution work will be undertaken as part of this role.

Additional advisory input into the overall architecture design will be expected in order to reflect considerations pertinent to the design of the interfaces and the overall deployment and usage of the system
