IT - Infrastructure Demand + Project Manager

Purpose:
The Demand + Project Manager is acting as internal service provider for the internal business partners, with primary responsibility for managing the demand flow from the business and IT Competence Centers into Infrastructure. He/she represents the respective infrastructure services and their costs. The overall purpose of these assignments is to carry out tasks with a high degree of competence and professionalism so that information needs within the international context of the adidas Group can be met.

Key Responsibilities:
The spectrum of tasks is a combination of different subject areas including but not limited to: financial management, customer management, proposal management, project leadership, business process engineering and IT business consulting. The role can involve significant responsibility within a program or large-scale project with direct or indirect responsibilities for people and budgets.
Essential Duties + Responsibilities:
Guarantee success (on time, in budget and with targeted benefits) and relevance (within defined strategy and fully utilized by business) of projects for the group?s business in a global environment
Lead and manage the demands from all business partners and prioritization within the framework of the Infrastructure Web Services Strategy and Roadmap, acting as the single point of contact for those business partners.
Steering global initiatives to satisfy demand based on sound understanding of the business processes.
Manage teams of knowledgeable, reliable internal and external adidas senior experts across multiple IT and Business functions.
Promote communication between global Infrastructure teams, regional IT, other Competency Centers and Business Leaders.
Support Web Services service manager and senior management in decision making process by providing relevant information
Build a knowledge base of each customer service, organization and objectives. Set and manage customer expectations.
Coordination of project delivery together with Project Managers in order to maintain the required level of customer satisfaction.
Lead service development and improvement initiatives.
Meet quality, cost, and time targets or service levels to ensure the predictability of results.
With the Infrastructure Management, define and implement strategies and processes which bring services to customers faster and more efficiently.
Manage project delivery together with Project Managers in order to maintain the required level of customer satisfaction.
Maintain sound business and team relationships to ensure a high standard in customer service and satisfaction.
Lead service development and improvement initiatives
Support the Competence Centers and the Infrastructure Heads in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collaborate with Regional GIT organizations to ensure consistency and avoid duplication of effort.
Work closely with Operations, Project Management and Regional Infrastructure Teams
Ensure compliance with all relevant adidas GIT computing standards, policies and methodologies
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirement
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to customer
Effectively applies PMI methodology and enforces project standards
Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
Minimizes exposure and risk on project
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Ensures that as part of highly complex projects all stakeholders are equally reflected
Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly
Understands Infrastructure Operations/Service Model and procedures
Holds regular status meetings with project team
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion

Requisite Skills/Education:
University Degree-level education
Project Management Experience
Experience in Sales or Account management is a plus
Leadership skills, experience in managing directly and indirectly people and budget
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and project management skills
International, cross-functional and intercultural experience
Service-minded and global thinking
Fluency in English
PMI Certified or in preparation
Proficiency in MS Project
Communications/negotiation skills facing team members, customers, suppliers and senior management
