eCRM Euro are looking for Mobile Application Technical expert for one of our clients based in Germany.
Overall Job Purpose
Perform technical terminal validation of device software for pre and post launch products, such as mobile handsets, tablets, USB dongles/Routers and Embedded modules and ensure their inter operability against the multiple Telecoms network configurations, parameters and radio technology features.
Job Description - Technical Expert
Validates and verifies software releases for terminals within lab conditions prior to market launch or as maintenance release. Specifically focusing on device radio features and network inter operability.
Analysis of the devices malfunction by investigation of the protocol messages
Detail root cause of faults found during testing and give technical opinion on their severity, along with customer impact statements. Good levels of problem solving skills and technical competency are required.
Document validation results and defects with tools like MS Excel and Quality Centre. Creating detailed technical descriptions (English language) of defects for internal project managers and vendor developers.
Works self-responsible but closely in a bigger team supporting the other team members with personal know-how and technical expertise.
Education and Work Experience
Knowledge of UMTS/HSPA & GSM/GPRS/EDGE (3-4 years)
Experienced knowledge and tracing capabilities on UMTS/GPRS Layer 3 protocols and mobile network air interface. Basic understanding of 3GPP standards and TCP/IP.
Experience with UE trace tools and ideally familiar with HP Quality Centre database as defect tracking tool.
Language Strong English written and oral skills and German would be an advantage
General PC skills (MS word, Excel, Power-Point)
