Our client is a leading international mobile communications business currently looking for an experienced Product Manager.
Role purpose:
* Responsible for the product life cycle management (Product Ownership & Management) of the key products by having a thorough understanding of the product's customers, potential customers, product requirements, product development, the broader industry and the impact of the products integration into the services and solutions
Key accountabilities:
* Responsible for the life cycle management of key products(eg SharePoint)
* Gather the product requirements (in alignment with Business Analyst), develop the product roadmap (in alignment with the software vendors) to deliver the agreed product(s) in line with domain strategy.
* Communicate the product roadmap and evolution with internal and external stakeholders.
* Determine the impact & manage the risks of the product evolution.
* Responsible to set a clear vision and release plan for the product(s) in close collaboration with the software supplier/development vendor, Collaboration architect & Application Manager..
* Implement a release management plan to determine what versions of the software will be released, to who (service/solution) and when.
* Drive the acceptance of the product software deliveries by defining appropriate quality KPIs
* Provide regular reporting including product spend, scope, release schedule and forecasts
* Ensure smooth adoption & usage of the product by efficient product management throughout the product life cycle
Customers, Supplier and 3rd parties
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to gather product requirements, planned integration of the product into services, product evolution and planned product improvements,
* Determine the appropriate product release and content by close collaboration with Collaboration Architect, Software supplier & Application Managers
* Establish communications with internal and external stakeholders in order to bridge the relationship between product development and customers
Innovation and Change
* Adapt & manage product requirements and other derivatives (features, releases etc.) depending on the changes in the business requirements.
* Proactively deliver improvement strategies, cost efficiency proposals, functionality simplification/consolidation strategies for the product under responsibility. Required
Knowledge and experience
* 3 year experience in Product life cycle Management in a large, multifunctional, multinational IT enterprise
* Proven experience in software product development, good knowledge in Software development life cycle(SDLC)
* Good understanding of software development methodologies(for. eg Agile Scrum)
* Strong influencing skills, attention to detail and a high level of negotiation skills required to correlate business needs and product requirements/features in consultation with technical teams Including vendors
* Strong relationship building skills including the ability to relate constructively to stakeholders.
* Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills required to work across the organization.
