Our client is a leading international mobile communications business currently looking for an experienced Integration Design Manager.

Role Purpose:
The Department you would be based in operates services in the client's data centres. The service is based on an IT solution. The Integration Design Manager (IDM) defines the details of the solution architecture. S/He first gets acquainted to the solution with the help of design documents from vendors or integrators and workshops. During this phase s/he will get an overview of the functionality but focuses on the non-functional requirements. From here the IDM starts developing a solution which fits in the data centre.
For the best fit an evaluation of the most efficient use of the existing environments in terms of HW, SW, networks, existing services and operational resources has to be performed.
This involves the usage of virtualization techniques as Solaris Zones or VMware, the choice of operating systems as Red Hat Linux or Microsoft and data bases as Oracle, MSSQL or others. To optimize the usage of operating know how solutions will be redesigned to use our standards which includes several Microsoft and Oracle products, as well as Apache and Jboss. The SLA level for the service is the basis for the redundancy concepts, which encompass load balanced Servers, Oracle, Veritas or Microsoft clusters and on the storage side features as SRDF.
The IDM has a good understanding of the client's data centre, its security zones and the wide area network and defines the communications flows and load balancer rules is one part of the Integration design document. This document encompasses all design details and will be used throughout the deployment and operations teams to setup the service.
During all phases of the integration design the Integration Design Manager works closely together with the internal customer, the integrator or vendor of the service, the internal technology specialists as well with deployment, security, project management, monitoring and 2nd line operations teams.
The IDM plays a critical role in the dpt as his designs determine the costs of solution integration and their on-going operation.

Accountabilities:
*Responsible to define the end-to-end strategy and design for the integration and operation of all Global Applications for Local Markets, Group Functions and external customers within agreed timelines & quality levels and in the most cost efficient manner.
*Support all Dpt Domain projects and service provision activities working closely with design, delivery, and operation entities to ensure optimum service quality and minimal operation costs.
*Accountable for end to end technical demand and requirement management (alignment, base lining, versioning, tracking) for Dpt domain services
*Responsible for providing technical consultancy to the Dpt Domains during the Demand phase, aligning with demand teams/programmes in topics related to technical demands, requirements, integration and solution architecture in order to efficiently manage business expectations in line with Dpt capabilities.
*Manage that all Integration and solution design activities follow agreed standards in all Dpt Domains
*Propose technical strategies and concepts to arrive at an aligned high level technical assessment as part of base lining the technical demand (during Demand phase).
*Accountable for alignment with Security, Infrastructure Architecture/Service Delivery and Operations in order to define target architecture for integration of Global Applications into the common infrastructure.
*Responsible for managing feasibility analyses/technology assessments/commercial and technical impact analysis inside Global Application.
*Define, manage & maintain the Dpt Service Environment strategy, Integration framework (for streamlining service deployment and integration efforts), operational standards and non-functional requirements for services.

Skills and Experience:
*5 year experience in IT service provisioning (preference in the telecommunication industry).
*Excellent knowledge of mobile data, IT application architectures, design and operations of IT environments/network infrastructures.
*Sound experience and expertise in standardization of IT environment and applications (preference in the telecommunication industry).
*Experience in the definition and design of simple solutions for complex design & operational scenarios.
*Able to communicate clearly at all levels of management and deliver compelling presentations.
