I am currently searching for a senior systems engineer to work ona long term contract for a Global market leader,
Description:
- Provide second/third level support for security related questions and issues on all European Mainframe images.
- Central RACF administration for facility profiles, resources and access groups(including those for IMS, DB2 and CICS), and all functions which require SYSTEM SPECIAL.
- Maintain RACF databases in Europe (migration, backup, recovery).
- Maintain the Clients written security administration system RAPSODIE.
- Maintain RACF exit code.
- Maintain Client-written RACF admin systems running under IMS and TSO.
- Technical contact for all security reviews, SCRPs, audits and SOX related questions.
- Provide ad-hoc or regular reports as required for audit purposes.
- Carry out quarterly security reviews for Warley and Niehl systems.
- Carry out annual review of devolved RACF administrators (except user
- administrators).
- Coordinate global security initiatives with the US security team.
- Support Third Party Security products as required.
- Advise Ford Mainframe management on new developments and technical changes in
- the security area.
- RFI/RFQ for Mainframe security renewals and select a replacement technology
- Support migration between security solutions
- Select and POC new global security tools (reporting, administration, audit)
- Project Lead for the upgrade and evaluation of Mainframe Security Projects.
Degree Required: Any degree.
Technical Skills:
At least 5 years in depth experience working in the Mainframe security area including
- RACF, including experience in upgrading and maintaining Operating Systems software, and providing customer support.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in IBM Assembler programming, including interfaces
- to IMS, ISPF and DB2.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in TSO and REXX.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Cobol.
- Basic knowledge of the zSecure (formerly Consul) security software (experience
- preferred).
- Excellent Mainframe skills to work as part of the global Mainframe support team
- Very good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to self-manage the delivery of tasks and assigned work packages.
- Must have at least 5 years' experience of working in a large Data Centre environment.
