Our client is a leading international mobile communications business currently looking for an experienced Application Manager Payment Services.

Role purpose:
* Responsible for Support & Operations of the client payment transfer tool operated by IT Services.
* Ensuring the delivery of the payment transfer tool service at agreed service levels to our customers, managing and working with all the internal and external partners in the support chain.

Key accountabilities:
Impact on the business
* Responsible to ensure technical service level compliance for services operated by Global Applications or by 3rd parties on behalf of Global Applications
* Take on end to end service ownership and manage all involved parties towards a SLA compliant delivery
* Responsible for (managed) Application Operations in terms of configuration, changes, implementation, rollout and preparation for all operated services including on call duties.
* Responsible to own Requests for Change and for the assessment of changes within the Change Management process
* Responsible for managing incidents and problems, including implementation of workarounds and changes, and for executing service requests.
* Responsible for timely availability of major incident reports for any priority 1 incident and to actively drive the implementation of appropriate preventive measures.
* Manage or execute the deployment of BAU patches and hot fixes in line with IT services standards, eg change management process
* Identify and implement best practice and process improvements with 3rd parties delivering application operation services
* Manage handover projects to Service providers for Application Operations to ensure smooth transition of application operations activities without service quality disruptions.
* Define and drive the implementation of technical KPI reports to deliver indicators for service improvements
* Manage Service providers delivering Application Operations Services for the Service Portfolio to ensure service quality according to the SLA and customer expectations.
* Support the Portfolio Management by identifying sourcing options for service portfolio and implementing them.
* Each Application Manager within the Mobile Payment Operations team will be assigned accountablity for one key operational process: incident, problem, change, or capacity&performance management.

Drive GA Service Improvement and Optimization
* Accountable to increase Quality by delivering technical and commercial service improvements as part of the ITIL Continual Service improvement process.
* Manage and/or execute the implementation of those service improvements.

GA Service Delivery Service Implementation and Deployment execution activities:
* Responsible to deliver deployment execution services into the delivery process or manage the service provider delivering those services
* Ensure operational criteria are fulfilled in GA projects according to the GA project Gates
* Responsible for managing technical service ramp-up (installation, configuration and coordination of setup tasks) for owned services
* Responsible to deliver operational and technical expertise for feasibilities, including delivery of cost estimations for application operations activities during service life cycle, to ensure services can be efficiently integrated into the existing IT landscape

Customers, supplier and third parties
* Set and continually manage service expectations with customers, IT Services/GA Management and business stakeholders
* Manage long term, sustainable relationships with Vodafone's internal and external sourcing partners to ensure SLA compliance and service improvements for GA services according to aligned financial figures.
* Build relationship with GA customers to be able to act as a trusted partner for demand management activities like future roadmap planning, service implementation and budget forecasting and planning

Innovation and change
* Identify, implement and continuously monitor sourcing options for the managed service portfolio and provide input for the GA portfolio management process
* Manage extended Relationship with the chosen service provider and OpCo IT units to create a virtual expertise pool.
* Identify and realize cost saving potentials driven by joint continuous improvement programme with the Global Functions and the chosen service provider

Knowledge and experience:
* Profound knowledge in the area of IT delivery projects from application operations point of view (preference in banking or telecommunications industry}
* Experience in managed operations of large scale IT applications and services in multi national environment
* Experience in managing 3rd parties to ensure services are delivered according to agreed SLA
* Profound knowledge in the area of IT delivery projects from application operations point of view
* Experience in design, and management of large IT Services
* Strong knowledge of operations management of high complex IT services
* Deep understanding of operational procedures and process standards (eg ITIL) and the ability to apply and evaluate them for continuous improvements in the service operations area.
* Ability to understand and evaluate web and mobile service technologies:
* Microsoft Windows Server 2008
* Microsoft SQL server 2008 database
* TCP/IP Networks
