Test Lead/Java Development required. My client one of Europe's largest integrated energy companies required a hyprid Tester/Java Developer to work within the Global test team DE, part of the overall Test Practice.The roles will cover all aspects of the functionality, and will draw upon candidates business knowledge, technical skills, and commitment to provide quality assured change to the business.
The Test Practice offers the successful candidates a wide exposure to many aspects of the business and IT applications.
Accountabilities and Activities
- Understanding and adhering to Test Standard Operating Procedures
- Understanding, contributing and adhering to project test plans
- Creation and ownership of detailed test plans
- Creation and ownership of test cases and procedures
- Test execution and recording with HP Quality Centre v10
- Identification and accurate recording of defects
- Work effectively with application support and development teams
- Enhancement of test automatisation suite based on test driven approach using Fitness
Technology Competencies:
- Java, JUnit
- Webservice, SOA, SOAP
- Fitness or equivalent test driven frameworks; GUI based test automatisation
- Weblogic or JBoss
- XSLT, XML
- HPQC
- MS Excel
- Knowledge of standard ETL tools
- Qualified in ISTQB or ISEB Testing qualification, but not mandatory
Business Competencies:
- Knowledge of traded energy trading domain
- Knowledge of market data domain
- Knowledge of Reuters or standard Exchange data formats preferable
- Good English & ideally German language skills
