Network Support, Engineer, Checkpoint, Juniper, Germany. A leading IT Managed Services business requires an experienced Network Engineer for a customer project within telecommunications. The position will be based on customer site, and is an integral to the successful delivery of network services to the customer.
Responsibilities will be at an operational level, providing day to day support around hardware and software, receiving calls from the support desk, hardware swap outs, as well as some project based work. Candidates must have solid experience in monitoring, maintaining and improving network infrastructure.
Skills required:
- Knowledge of Checkpoint VPN1/Provider1, Juniper JunOS (SRX)/NSM, Cisco (ASA) Firewalls
- VPN and authentication technologies like Cisco VPN, ACS and RSA ACE
- Knowledge of BlueCoat proxies (useful)
- Knowledge of Unix systems
- Fluent German and English speaker
