SW Development Engineer LTE. Software development engineer for Radio Communication Performance Test Systems in LTE/TD-SCDMA.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Development of software components for Radio Communication Performance Testers
- Implementation and testing of RRM conformance test cases for LTE and LTE-A as well as inter RAT (LTE to TD-SCDM/WCDMA/GSM/CDMA2000) using Layer 3 signalling procedures using a C++ based API
- We are looking especially for a TD-SCDMA specialist who can take over the implementation of LTE to TD-SCDMA inter RAT test cases
- Unit and integration testing
- Test system automation
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
- MS Visual Studio
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL
- Master in communications engineering or equivalent course of studies
- Both a strong software development background, and LTE signalling protocol knowledge
- WCDMA knowledge
- In-depth experience in developing and maintaining complex software frameworks in a MS Windows environment based on MS Visual Studio
- At least 2 years industrial strength experience in programming experience in C++
- RF and protocol knowledge for radio communication tester
- Good understanding of best practice software engineering processes, eg version control, testing and release cycles
- Understanding of the 3GPP standardization and relevant specifications, eg 3GPP TS , 3GPP TS 34.121
DESIRABLE
- Understanding of LTE/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA Layer 1 and MAC/RLC Layers
- Customer on-site support and related travel activities might be necessary on request

Our business partner offers an open team spirit working in an international environment. Workplace will be initially an office in Delhi/India. Change to onsite team in Munich/Germany might be required after about six months working at offshore in Delhi (eg January 2013).
The candidate has to give the following commitments:
- stay in the project for an overall period of at least two years
- to be able to join onsite team in Munich with two months prior request (ie time for work permit application), and then to work in Munich for at least two years
- stay in the project after returning from onsite location back to India, and to work again at location in Delhi ( rotating system )
