Senior C++ Software Engineer
Ihre Aufgaben:We are looking for a hands-on Senior C++ Software Engineer with a thorough scientific and mathematical understanding providing advanced expertise on developing and implementing algorithms for on- and off-board navigation systems.
Your main tasks will be:
- Design and implement state of the art Routing and Traffic algorithms in C++.
- Integrate the algorithms in the products for embedded / mobile devices as well as for server-based solutions.
- Create and share code documentation.
- Follow our agile development process and take an active role in team work and meetings.
- Collaborate closely with the development team in creating high quality products.
- Develop and contribute to long-term technical goals and strategies of the department
- University Degree in Computer Science, Discrete Mathematics, or a closely related field (Ph.D. would be a plus).
- Fluency in C++ using templates, abstractions, efficient resource handling. (knowledge of C++0x is a plus)
- Extensive expertise in designing and implementing efficient algorithms, data structures and interfaces – experience with reflection type interfaces would be a plus
- Working knowledge of Java, Android and scripting languages and experience in multi-threaded applications is a plus.
- Knowledge in at least one of the following elds: shortest paths (point-to-point, one-to-all, k-to-k, dynamic and/or static), network flows, map matching, traveling salesman problem, online algorithms or statistics.
- Ability to communicate algorithmic issues/concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience in software development for embedded devices.
- Familiarity with STL (boost would be a plus)
- Knowledge of Shell, Perl or Python would be a plus.
- Knowledge of Linux based development environments and tools.
- Ability to maintain high accuracy and quality levels while working to tight deadlines and meeting the business requirements.
- Ability to work as a part of a self-organizing Scrum team in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis – that includes handling multiple tasks at the same time and working in a lively environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with architects, developers, test engineers, product managers and other team members
