Our client is looking for aSecurity Operations Analyst / Security Problem Manager (m/f)
who can primarily act as an advisor and coordinator to internal customers on security issues. The chosen candidate will be part of the Security Problem Resolution Team within our client’s GT IT Security.
This challenging role will require someone with a passion for IT security. Furthermore the role requires strong communication skills, to ensure that security problems are properly addressed with the respective problem owners.
The daily tasks include
- the evaluation of security problems,
- identification of responsible remediation owners,
- initial communication, agreement and tracking of remediation plans.
Experience / Requirements:
- Security Experience in a technical or operational role of at least 2-3 security domains
- Expertise in System Administration and Security Settings
- Expertise in Firewalls technologies (rules, etc)
- Fundamentals of Network and Application Security – Strengths and Weaknesses
- Strong knowledge in latest vulnerabilities, security trends and their effect on large corporate networks
- Ability to do Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management (Policies, Standards and Guidelines)
- Some programming experience and database know-how would be a plus
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
Character/Professionalism:
- Should be able to handle multiple tasks with careful attention to details
- Must be capable of working under pressure and with multiple teams across the globe/time zones
- Possess excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills at all levels
- Ability to work proactively and dynamically
- Effective problem solving skills to quickly assess the problem scope and possible solutions
- Willingness to share Security related know how to educate customers and the security analysis abilities of the Security Incident and Problem Management team
- Good team player
Educational Background:
- University degree in Computer Science or similar
- One or more of following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CCNP, CWSA, CEPT, SANS certifications, (GCIH, GCIA, GCFW...), CCNA, CWNA, CEH, MCSE (or related certification on an operating system), PMP (optional)
