Information Management User Support Engineer

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The tasks will be to provide first level support to users, develop and deliver training to the employees and take part in Information Management related projects.

  • Provide technical and process related support to users for document and information management systems and processes, including troubleshooting and coaching.
  • Develop and enhance training for document and information management systems and processes and deliver the training to end users. This includes presentations, hands on workshops, computer based training, etc,
  • Support development projects: Support requirement specification phases including contributions to project planning and reporting,
  • Design, support the implementation and verify in the various information management systems; meta data models, taxonomies, navigation and search, user interfaces including user interaction design, information architecture and layout,
  • Support the customer acceptance and roll-out phases of new or enhanced systems, including potential pilot phases, ensuring that implemented solutions fulfil the needs of the users.
  • Document tasks and deliverables working practices.

PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE:

  • Extensive knowledge of information management concepts, principles and related processes, including information organisation and retrieval, search and navigation, information policies, standards, information life cycles, etc.
  • Experience from support, training or technical implementations of information management systems based on Oracle WebCenter Content (previously Oracle UCM 10g/11g)
  • Experience in providing first level support and training to end users on complex information management systems and effectively working towards solutions together with users to solve their issues.
  • Experience in interacting with users extracting, synthesising and documenting user needs in the field of information management
  • Experience in providing support for the technical implementation of user facing functionality in Information Management systems
  • Very good personal communication skills (oral and written)
  • Highly self motivated with a high level of autonomy in working arrangements and the ability to apply initiative and creativity in the execution of tasks
  • Effective oral and written use of English

Location: Darmstadt (very limited travel within Europe)
