We are seeking a Developer/Designer for Bonn in Germany.
For this role you will be responsible for the IP network design of Customer Mobile Mobile Data Service solutions hosted in Data Centers in various locations in Germany.
Support Mobile Data Service product introduction as IP designer and lanner. Identify need for technical evolution of the existing network solution, draft proposals for maintenance projects and co-ordinate their implementation. analyse network requirements coming from new Mobile Data Service ntegration projects or from network maintenance demand (end-of- ife replacement, design optimisation, etc) design a network integration and extensively document it in /"Pro-duct Network Design/" and /"System Network Design/" documents (English) align the network design with the system architects, Security, ransport Network Planning, Testing and Operations Work out switch, Router, load balancer and Firewall configurations document configuration in the relevant Configuration Management atabase support the evaluation of these configurations in the customer test facilities (you will have access to a small lab environment, but not to test facility equipment) - work out migration concepts for the customer Live Network - place Change Requests to Operations (no change execution done by yourself, no write-access to any Live Network system) using a Work Order Management tool - coordinate and troubleshoot the execution of Change Requests - cooordinate entire maintenance projects in the customer Mobile Data Serivces data centers, starting from project initiation until final delivery including project reporting - support the Planning Project Lead in Mobile Data Service Inte-gration projects.
With experience in design, deployment and taking into operations of IP network elements in data centers (VPN`s, VLAN, Load Balancer, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load-Balancer), especially in existing production environments
- Experience as pure IP Network Designer, not Operator
- Experience with Cisco network components on CCNP level
- Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls on Crossbeam
- German and English fluently
- high communication skills, enjoy interaction with people from the various customer functions in Germany or abroad
- high ability to deal with complex processes and responsibility split
- high self-management ability when working on 5 to 10 projects at a time
- strong dedication to working as a designer with documents, reviews, meetings, Change Requests, but without write-access to network components
