Capacity & Performance Management Specialist
The ideal person for this role will have excellent communication and technical skills with the ability to work with experts to gain relevant data to present into information in order to create the capacity and performance reports required.
You will have the understanding of bottlenecks, what creates a bottleneck and forecast planning on risks on performance.
You will need end to end knowledge of the overall architecture of systems; Networks, Performance management, Server, Applications, Windows environment etc.
Details as follows:
Capacity Management
- Identify KPIs for capacity and performance management, for both hardware (eg, CPU load, memory usage, disk IO, network bandwidth) and application (eg, maximum number of incoming requests, DB fragmentation)
- Define and deliver capacity management roadmap
- Define and develop capacity model for the Vodafone Money Transfer solution.
- Design monitoring of capacity and performance KPIs
- Define and implement capacity and performance reporting
- Implement monthly capacity plan with rolling two-year forecast
- Present regular capacity and performance reporting and capacity plan to stakeholders and improve reporting based on stakeholder feedback
Performance Management
- Identify and prepare workarounds for typical error conditions
- Create troubleshooting guide for defect analysis and identification of system component causing service degradation
- Improve/complete system documentation required for defect analysis and change assessment.
- Define and document regular housekeeping tasks and establish regular execution by support teams
Experience
- Operations with highly available systems built on Windows Enterprise (2008) and SQL Server
- Implementation of ITIL Service Design processes
- Proven ability to deliver independently in a complex international environment.
- Project management experience, including demonstrated excellence in risk and issue management
- Strong experience in preparing and delivering reports to senior management
