- Must have checkpoint Firewall experience and know VPN connections and know how to migrate them
- LAN/WAN experience
- Knowledge of Routers (TCP/IP etc)
- Knowledge of Cisco and HP devices also very good but they don't need to be a specialist
- Fluent German a plus but not essential

Somebody with a lot experience in TCP/IP Networking, experience in the Administration and Configuration of Cisco Catalyst and HP ProCurve Switches, including the configuration of VLANs and their trunking across Switches, overcoming physical network port limits, the setting up of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) as well as the configuration and administration of hardware Firewalls, such as Checkpoint, including the configuration of Virtual Private Networks for specific customer connections. (VPN Tunnels). Ideally s/he as also an IT Security background and is familiar with PCI and other data security standards. S/he also should be familiar with TCPdump, Wireshark and other network monitoring and analysis tools.
We are currently in the data analysys phase of a huge application migration project with the goal to migrate all applications currently hosted on physical and virtual Servers in Hamburg to the HP managed datacenter in the U.S. by June next year and we are working tightly together with HP which is xxx's DataCenter Service Provider to analyse all our applications, creating excel spreadsheets specifying connections, protocols and ports used by the different applications and providing data flow diagrams to our co workers in the U.S. and the involved solutions architects and project leads in HP. In the meantime we continue to deploy new Virtual Machines for new projects coming from the xxx Software Development department and need to work tighly with different internal and external software delvelopment groups to clarify application requirements and connection profiles. So the network admin would support me in setting up the required connections, and/or request necessary changes on Firewalls not managed by xxx.
The tasks and responsibilities will overlap with the System Administration Role to a certain degree, but the focus is really on networking and iT security where as the focus for the System Administration role is more on the Operating System know how and the understanding of WebServers and Applications using WebServices as communication interface (SOAP, XML).

Aufgaben:
- Verantwortung fur die Administration und den Betrieb der Netzwerk-Infrastruktur sowie Firewall- und VPN-Umgebung
- Planung und Implementierung von anderungen und Optimierungen an den Netzwerken und der Sicherheits-Infrastruktur
- Sicherstellung des Rechenzentrum-Betriebs und Projektmitarbeit im Rahmen von Migrationsprojekten
- Fortlaufende Dokumentation und uberwachung der IT-Systeme
- Unterstutzung des Operatings (1st Level-Support) bei Problemen
Profil:
- Mehrjahrige berufliche Erfahrung und sehr gute Kenntnisse im Checkpoint-Umfeld
- Mehrjahrige berufliche Erfahrung und sehr gute Kenntnisse in der Netzwerkadministration, Netzwerkdisign und Fehlersuche von heterogenen Netzwerken (Cisco, HP)
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in aktuellen WAN und LAN-Technologien sowie den gangigen Protokollen
- Projektarbeits-Erfahrung im internationalen Umfeld
- Effektives Arbeiten im Team
- Eigenstandige und flexible Arbeitsweise
- Gute Englischkenntnisse sind unerlasslich
- Hohes Engagement und Bereitschaft zur Teilnahme an der Rufbereitschaft
