Data Centre Network Operations Engineer - Hannover and Essen Germany - 6 month Contract - 20 - 25 p/h
My Client is a world leading IT services provider who currently has a number of exciting opportunities for a number of Network Engineers to join their team in their Data Centre.
My Client is offering an initial contract for 6 months but there is a very good chance that they will be extending the contract. Candidates will need to be fluent in English as the customer environment is English speaking.
The role is to manage the data centre network for both internal and external customers, and the work will cover both support work and new projects.
My Client is ideally looking for someone who has experience of working in a large enterprise environment and has good experience of customer support. Candidates will need experience of doing both onsite and remote support.
It is beneficial if candidates have some level of Cisco certification either CCNA level or higher.
Required Skills
-Profound knowledge of Routers, Switches and related systems ( Cisco) in large heterogeneous environments
-Good knowledge in planning and operation of DC LAN infrastructure incl structured DC-LAN Pre-Cabling
-Good knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP
-Knowledge of Routing Protocols
-Capacity for analytical thinking
-Structured and reliable working methods
-High level communication skills
-Customer orientation
-Ability to work in a team
-Several years of experience in project consulting or support
It will also be beneficial if candidates have experience of being involved in large projects.
Strong ability in German and English is really beneficial
