Our client is a leading international mobile communications business currently looking for an experienced Programme Manager.

Project outline:
This role is accountable for managing Consumer Services Programmes/Projects by coordinating, prioritising, monitoring and controlling between Consumer Services, Technology and local Markets, to realise the defined programme/project benefits. This includes tracking progress against the programme/project plan.

The details include:
* Drive and execute the project based on the defined Consumer Services Processes and Governance.
* Identify dependencies and coordinate product delivery activities accordingly in order to minimise risk to the delivery of the overall project.
* Anticipate potential project risks, drive timely risk mitigation and define contingency plans; pro-actively drive risk/issue resolution by involving relevant decision makers.
* Lead, monitor and maintain scope control following the approved Change Management process.
* Facilitate communication between stakeholders (especially Technology and Finance). Follow up on actions, decisions and expected deliverables.
Monitor, control and pro-actively support individual work streams of assigned project to reduce costs and risks and increase customer satisfaction.

Key accountabilities:

Programme/Project Management

o Creates and maintains overall end-to-end programme/project plan (work packages, milestones, interdependencies & trade-offs, critical path etc.) for product delivery projects. Provides regular updates and status reports in a consistent and timely manner.
o Tracks overall programme/project progress (budget, key milestones, dependencies, and quality and change request process).
o Ensures effective management of the integration and flow of product delivery activities, testing and delivery.
o Reviews requirements, specifications and documentation to ensure quality and assess dependencies and impacts of new/in-development applications to existing systems/services.
o Facilitate and support the creation and delivery of programme/project documentation according to Consumer Service governance process within agreed time lines and ensure requested quality (eg management reports, budget & programme planning, product documentation etc.).
o Prepares and runs weekly team meetings. Creates issue and progress reports to function and upper management.
o Supports the Principal Programme Manager - Consumer Products with the consolidation and tracking of all defined programme/projects KPIs: time + cost + quality + scope of product delivery and local market deployment.
o Manages risks and issues including management of escalation paths and driving trade off decisions. Develops contingency plans, recommendations and addresses potential KPI target deviations.
o Identifies and manages project stakeholders with the objective to increase the support and minimise negative impacts of stakeholders throughout the entire programme life cycle.
o Maintain and administer online tool (SharePoint or other) for information sharing and document management.

Change & Resource Management

o Monitors and maintains scope control and leads Change Management activities.
o Maintains close contact with customers and sales channels, understanding their needs to ensure effective and timely delivery of Consumer Services strategies.
o Support the detailed implementation of processes for managing input and output between Consumer Service functions and from/to other Business Functions and local business units in accordance to the existing governance process.

Leadership and Teamwork

o Acts as a role model and champion of the Consumer Services organisation by consistently demonstrating high quality examples of performance, deliverables and behaviours.
o Promotes a 'service mentality' and 'partnership approach' to develop strong relationships within function as well as towards other Business Functions and local Markets.
o Leads multidisciplinary programmes or initiatives.
o Provides regular, constructive feedback to teams and colleagues.
o Propagates best practice/knowledge transfer across all Business functions.
o Is prepared to challenge the current thinking in the Group and acts as a role model to encourage this behaviour in own team.
o Is open to the ideas and point of view of others irrespective of cultural background or level in the Group.

Skills:
- Min. 3 years' experience in a mobile company (preferable also working for a large Operating company)
- Background of managing complex, large, costly, and high-risk projects in a cross functional international environment
- Certification in project management according to the PMI standard (or equivalent).
- Track record of successful work in the area of technical analysis and complex technical concepts.
- Solid experience in an international context serving multiple parties/customers
- Well-developed personal leadership skills and a proven background of organisational influence.
- Ability to manage resources and trade-off between efficiency, quality and time-to-market.
- Ability to manage in dynamic, high-growth, high-uncertainty environments
- Strong communication and decision making skills - ability to balance conflicting interests
- Ability to work with multi-interfaces/systems environments from the analysis/conception, the specification phase to the deployment and launch phase.
