Task:For the development of a new web mailer which is used by over 25 million active users we are looking for an experienced, quality conscious frontend-developer with focus on HTML and CSS.
Recently, the users of costumer were migrated to a new web mailer. In the next months, while we still enhance the mailer, we will also adapt it for our other brands.
Requirements (Must have):
For us an experienced frontend-developer (m/f) has a profound understanding of and practical experience with the technical possibilities of HTML5 and CSS3. However you don't forget the user experience in older browsers and use graceful degradation/progressive enhancement where it's reasonable. Yet you strive to push the boundaries of what's possible within the various browsers further and further.
Being quality conscious means you create semantic component-based markup that is reusable in different places of the application. You try to keep your markup and CSS lean, particularly with regard to browser performance.
Being experienced means you know the peculiarities of the different browsers, you follow the development of HTML5 and CSS3 closely and have a profound knowledge of typical browser bugs. An elementary understanding of Javascript is a must.
The main part of your work will consist of creating markup and CSS for new features as well as optimizing existing code. Part of that is the creation of different skins for the various brands.
In addition to the technical qualification, you should be experienced in using debugging tools (e.g. Firebug) and version control systems (SVN). You should also be familiar with agile product development (Kanban/Scrum).
