Technical Support Engineer/2nd Line Support/12 months contract

My client, an international IT Outsourcing/Web hosting company, is currently seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer for a 12-month contract to be based in London for two weeks, then Cologne - extension likely.

Purpose of Role:

  • This is a client facing role working for a high profile customer providing a fully outsourced Managed Service. Based in Cologne travelling to Antwerp and Luxembourg as required.
  • Delivering first class, best of breed 1st/2nd line support and contributing to 3rd line and project work as and when required.
  • Reporting to the aligned Client Services Director (CSD) ensuring to execute against all contractual commitments by providing an outstanding service.
  • Ensuring company delivers against any agreed SLA 's - response, resolution and availability.
  • Reporting and following agreed processes and procedures expected of a mature IT Managed Services provider is essential.

Job Requirements:

  • Windows XP/7 and Office 2007
  • VMware vSphere/vCenter 4.1 (ESX & ESXi) Windows Server R2 |
  • Active Directory Exchange 2007
  • Good storage fundamentals (Dell Equallogic)
  • Good networking fundamentals - Cisco, Juniper, HP
  • Blackberry Enterprise Server (5.0)
  • Enterprise Vault (8.0)
  • Server hardware - Dell Symantec Backup Exec 2010
  • Citrix XenApp - Basic Administration
