Support a team in doing projects and 3rd level support for storage systems. Actively participate in improving the service and its efficiency with smart technology choices and slim administration processes.Job profile:
- Provide documentation of services and technologies managed by the team; ensure that routine tasks can be handed over to 2nd level support.
- Implement new systems, configure and take into production
- Troubleshooting for 3rd level incidents
- Attend major incident calls as required
- Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for storage conjunction with the enterprise architects
- Recommend and design improvements to the environment on a continuous basis, in coordination with the Enterprise Architecture team
- Work on storage related projects involving the technology or team competencies

- SAN and NAS technologies
- Virtual provisioning technologies
- Performance analysis tools (e.g. Navisphere Analyzer)
- Monitoring & alerting tools
- Snapshot technologies (e.g. SnapView)
- Experience in implementing and administering storage area networks (FC, iSCSI, FCoE).
- Monitoring & Alerting Tools (Fabric Watch, DCFM)
- Experience in implementing and administering enterprise backup systems.
- Experience in implementing and administering archiving systems.
- Business fluent English language skills in writing and speaking

- Enterprise storage environment: EMC², Dell, HDS, Sun/Oracle, Brocade, Cisco.
- Backup environment: EMC² Networker, Sun StorageTek ACSLS, Sun StorageTek L700, Symantec Netbackup, Commvault Simpana.
- Archiving environment: Oracle SamFS; Symantec Enterprise Vault for file and mail archiving
