Network Engineer
Network Engineer is required to join a leading consultancy in Herzogenaurach, Germany. As the Network Engineer you will be responsible for the configuration, administration and maintenance of Router, Multilayer Switching Devices, VPN-Concentrator, (Preferred Cisco & HP knowledge) WAN/LAN design, VPN-Tunnelling and Routing and Switching. This will also include troubleshooting, monitoring and management of complex network infrastructure.
WAN-Acceleration Service:
Riverbed Steelhead Configuration, Administration, Maintenance (CMC & Steelhead Appliances)
Application Profiling & Analysis:
Application Base lining, Analyzing & Documentation with Opnet ACE plus; Wireshark; tcpdump
Analyze & determine Application issue/root cause analysis/recommendations
Outline application performance issues incl. root cause analysis during PoC Phase.
Understand and interpret the output of: MRTG, NAGIOS, Fluke Netflow Tracker, STG, tcpdump, etc.
Network Monitoring & Management:
Configuration, Administration, Maintenance (NAGIOS, MRTG, Net Flow Tracker)
Documentation:
Global WAN/LAN Setup
add, delete and change WAN and LAN devices/keep the documentation up to date
manage global IP address ranges/subnets assignment & documentation
WAN Service MGMT:
Handle global requests (add, moves & change) with diff. WAN Provider (Orange, Cable & Wireless; AT&T; etc.) WAN Incidence MGMT and Escalation with diff. WAN Provider
You will need to be English speakers and have worked for global organisations with Project Management skills.
My client is offering an initial 3 - 6 months contract paying between €200 - €250 per day.
