We are looking for an experienced Serena consultant (f/m) to work for one of our customers in Wuppertal.
Here are the details:
Role Summary
He/she is reporting to the ALM IT Technical Team Leader and accountable for the Technical related aspects of the tasks assigned to her/him (from an application stand point), potentially including the data migration programs management
Objectives
- Ensure that SW configuration and development is made according to the functional requirements defined by the Design team and meeting quality, time and budget targets
- Provide the design, realization, maintenance and execution of automatic data conversion programs
- Grant the user support and application maintenance of the new solution until the full transition to the "steady state" AMO (Application Mgmt Office) is completed
- Guarantee Change Control for further Serena releases
Responsibilities
- Ensure an effective and qualitative Realization cycle:
- Receive and validate functional specifications from the Design Team
- Configure and Build the necessary technical objects / features
- Ensure Unit Testing
- Participate to functional & integration testing and manage the defect resolution cycle
- Write and maintain the Technical Design documentation
- Design, develop & maintain data conversion programs from Legacy to Serena
- Execute Data Migration Programs (testing and productive runs) and provide support to the LPOs to identify issue root causes
- Provide the User Support and Application Maintenance for the new ALM Platform:
- Provide on going support to users and ensure operational maintenance
- Manage break/fix and Change Request Implementation Cycles
- Perform regression testing, when needed
- Lead Change Control Board meetings
- Ensure coordination with the other ALM teams, especially with the ALM Design Team (specification walkthrough, realization Q&A, functional testing, plan sharing, etc.)
Skills
- Very High expertise of Serena from a functional stand point; good knowledge of the technical aspects (configuration, development, workflows, etc.)
- Very good knowledge of the IS development cycle and experience in governing implementation teams
- Basic IS infrastructure skills
- Good knowledge of ALM process in scope
- Managerial capabilities to drive a complex team and manage external service providers
- Good negotiation skills; Good communication capabilities
