Core Voice Engineer - Core Voice Network Engineer - Mobille Telecom Network Consultant
Our client, global mobile telecom organisation, is looking to recruit an experienced Engineer/Expert in Voice Core Evolution and Migration with knowledge and expertise around telecommunications network systems and their services.
Key Accountabilities
- Accountable for the functional specification of all Core Networks Nodes in the Voice Core Domain including detailed interface specifications.
- Manages and leads the development, the maintenance and the update of the Technical Requirement Specification (TRS) for Voice Core nodes (CS Core & IMS Core domain)
- Performing Market Intelligence activities on a regular basis, which includes performing assessments of our client's selected vendor base as well as investigating opportunities by doing deep dive with non-incumbent core vendors.
- Focus on product strategy for Fixed Mobile Convergence Embedded in a Smart Network Environment.
- Responsibility for the technical part of the request for quotation in close collaboration with vendors and our client's internal procurement company.
- Definition of globally harmonized product packages for Core Network Nodes in the Voice Core domain.
- Ad-hoc Feasibility studies
Knowledge/Experience
- Deep knowledge of telecommunications network systems and their services
- University degree in Engineering
- Deep expertise in different 2G/3G/4G core network nodes and the corresponding architecture
- Experience in building vendor-relationships and the ability to manage the vendor to meet our client's technical specification.
- Knowledge of at least one supplier like Ericsson, Nokia, Siemens Networks, Huawei etc.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, high-growth, high uncertainty environments
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Proven ability to function within a Matrix organisation
- Multi-national, multi-geography team experience
- Fluent in English
