For our client in the mobile telecommunication industry in Bern we are looking for a Solution Architect. This person will be a member of a small team which is focusing on online charging for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers.Responsibilities
Understand product requirements by working closely with product management
Understand customer business opportunity/problem by working with business units and operations
Have a solid understanding about the OSS and BSS architecture of a telecom operator, such as network components such as MSC, SGSN, GGSN, HLR, SMSC, service platforms and how they interact with online charging platforms (Camel, Diameter DCCA, Parlay)
Write or contribute to design documents which are inline with the architectural guidelines
Document product requirements and translates them into technical specification and acceptance criteria
Prepare internal and external technical documentation
Facilitate the process of cost and effort estimation of new features and applications
Document detailed system and interface requirements as required, working closely with the development team, product management, and the customer
Review design documents, related requirements documents, and test plans
Required Skills and Experiences
Experience as a systems engineer and/or business analyst
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal English / German
Telecommunications intelligent networking background and experience
Excellent teaming skills
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of web service and database technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of diameter charging protocols and applications
Knowledge of intelligent networking protocols is a plus
Development experience is a plus
