Für unseren internationalen Kunden suchen wir einen "Senior Specialist IT Infrastructure and Data Centre Strategy (m/f)" am Standort Berlin.
The role encomprises the following key accountabilities:
1. Accountable for the global Data Centre and Server Room strategy
Develop standard building blocks for Data Centre strategy
Contribute strongly into Server, Storage and Network Architecture standards
Communicate the strategy to technical and business stakeholder
Breakdown datacenter strategy into server room requirements and standards
2. Ensure that:
Data Centre requirements and critical success factor are properly documented
Own and define infrastructure deployment standards
Establish and run a Data Centre a metric driven operating and governance model
Work closely with compliance and security to ensure business continuity requirements are considered
3. Pro-actively manage day to day operations:
Introduce and implement the defined strategy
Act as design and decision authority towards our external service providers and facility management
Define Data Centre service levels / objectives and availability metrics
Monitor and control the outsourced Data Centre operations
BT owner for incident, problem, change, capacity and availability management of data centers and server rooms
Interface with design and implementation projects to ensure proper implementation
Review and governance of business as usual projects (risks / issues / success and acceptance criteria)
Compile and agree / review new and existing service definitions
4. Interface to drive continuous improvement activities within data rooms and support continuous improvement projects as it relates to central data centres. The person will work in close collaboration with external Partners and suppliers on technologies and services to improve the EUC services.
5. Support monthly operational review and governance of service delivery
Establish collection and tracking process for all relevant SLA/KPI
Identify anomalies and issues
Define action plans with the respective 3rd party and monitor their implementation
Professional Requirements:
Fundamental understanding of ITIL processes and operational procedures.
Technical infrastructure skills and subject matter knowledge across multiple disciplines including:
Excellent understanding of data Centre technology background and experience in all building and infrastructure related aspects (building, electricity, power, cooling, cabling)
Strong server, storage and network background in particular High Availability deployments into Data Centers
Experience to work with 3rd parties for implementation and day to day operations
Budget Management of capital investments and ongoing operational costs
Very good analytical skills to review the existing estate and operations to drive the continuous improvement process
Proven ability to define a technology strategy driven by business requirements, communicate this to technical and business stakeholder and implement such strategy.
Language ability: Business English. German advantageous.
