Task:You will work as part of a small development team to enhance and maintain the Pricing and Trading Flow systems for the FX Listed Product business.
Deliverables:
The development team are focussed on the business delivery pipeline, working iteratively and delivering functionality to production on a weekly basis.
Requirements (Must have):
- At least 5 years hands-on professional experience with JAVA SE & OO development
- At least 3 years experience with Java development in a multi-threaded non-J2EE environment.
- Experience with high performance, high throughput systems
- Experience with test driven development
- Experience with messaging technologies (JMS/RV/EMS/MQ)
- Very strong communication skills and is fluent in English
Nice to have:
- Experience within the financial sector (preferably within FX Structured Products or FX derivatives) is desired, but not required
- Experience with Agile development practices is desired, but not required
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture is desired, but not required
- Experience with relational databases is desired, but not required
- Experience with GUI technologies (e.g. SWT, Swing) is desired, but not required
- Experience with Subversion, Maven and Bamboo is desired, but not required
- Experience with Requirements capture and technical analysis is desired, but not required
Environment/Miscellaneous:
This is a hands-on role that includes liaising with business stakeholders and analysts to gather and understand new requirements, designing and implementing new solutions as well as extending existing implementations.
