This position is for a consultant with at least 5 years experience in web content development and publishing.
Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellites to monitor the weather and climate from space. Their web site is the main portal for communicating their activities and serves a variety of target audiences. The main tasks for the consultant will be to write, develop and maintain content of the web site. The following experience/skills are required:
Writing for the web
Web content layout and imagery selection
Online social media services (Facebook, Flickr, YouTube etc)
Content Management Systems (such as Oracle UCM)
Web content delivery methods and standards
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
Fluency in English is essential and a working knowledge of French desirable. This is a freelance contract assignment due to start in March 2012 for a period of 1 year with two extension options of 1 year each.
