IT Change Management Consultant - Investment Banking (Munich - Germany)
Our client is one of the main investment banking institutions in Europe, having a highly competitive and complex structure, today they are facing the challenge of a post merger and acquisition situation which affects their IT and network environment. Initiating and managing change in the context of IT and banking organizations like this one, demands a high degree of skill, knowledge and business experience.
During this project you will have to work on:
- Alignment and consolidation of post-merger IT infrastructure, Software/Hardware, parameters, domains and network systems into a single IT and Network infrastructure.
- Understanding of IT customer care environment within the investment banking arena.
- You are expected to understand banking user needs at different levels of the internal hierarchy while introducing and training users in new working procedures and systems.
Activities:
To support the Work-stream Lead in the below activities and possibly take ownership of the following:
- Communications strategies and plans
- Bridge technical project activities with customer requirements
- Coordinate Application Work-stream
To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
- In-depth knowledge of business processes, IT operations and the dynamics of employee behavior and motivation within organizations.
- Solid working experience in investment banking - IT support across multiple cultures, as well as to be political and cultural aware how/when communicating and introducing change measures with your end-customers.
- Knowing how to motivate people to participate in change is essential to enable the change to happen as intended.
You will be supporting and reporting to the Head of the IT global customer technical support of our client in a trader environment. The role is part of an international project team, delivering a critical project in London, Munich and Milan.
Required skills:
- Experience of managing people through a change resistant and complex business environment.
- Experience of marketing IT projects in an end-user environment
- Broad understanding and experience in IT Infrastructure and Applications
- Technical skills required (amongst others, specifications about):
- Defining, tracking and delivering business benefit in change management initiatives.
- MS Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint
Business/process knowledge required in the following areas:
- MSP, Prince2 or similar methodology
- Investment Banking Experience
In this role you must dissect our customer's IT operations and drive interventions that will result in achieved objectives. This requires analytical abilities to change what is wrong and leave alone what is right and integrate that into a new coherent strategy.
As an IT change consultant you must also accurately gauge and follow up IT change interventions and keeping working plans and notes accurate and up-to-date.
Languages: English (German or Italian is a nice-to-have)
