Protocol Stack Applications Engineer - Layer 1, PHY - Contract - Germany
An experienced protocol stack test and applications engineer with excellent knowledge of testing for L1 is currently required by a global telecommunications company for an initial 6 month contract based in Germany
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication theory and a good understanding of LTE/UMTS/GSM. Engineers will be required to demonstrate an understanding of how mobile phones interact with the network at the system, protocol and physical levels.
Essential Skills
- Experience of RTOS for Embedded applications
- Hands-on debugging skills and experience with software/hardware integration
- Prior experience with developing and testing Real Time DSP firmware and/or physical layer software
- Experience developing test systems, test cases and test methodologies for L1 software unit testing
