Solution Architect (Telecoms) - Germany - English speaking

One of our major clients is urgently looking for Solution Architects with a strong background in the Telecoms sector.

For a major software replacement project, involving the re-design of the entire existing architectural landscape, replacing key Legacy systems with state-of-the-art applications, we are looking for a technical architect to strengthen the Solution Architecture Team. You will report directly to the Lead Solution Architect and work closely together with the vendors and third party architects/developers.
Profile:
A self-starter, hands on person who knows to get involved. The technical architect will have a strong technical background and is able to advice the client in collaboration with the Solution Architects on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies. The technical architect will work closely together with the Solution Architect, the vendor's architects and 3rd party architects/developers, providing the technical connection between the project managers and the subject matter experts. The technical architect is comfortable in presenting and explaining alternative solutions to a non-technical' audience on all levels within the organization. The technical architect will have a thorough knowledge of common business processes regarding CRM, Billing and Customer (Self) Care. He will have a broad experience with Enterprise IT Architectures in the Telco industry.
Experience
Experience with at least two major implementation projects in the telco industry of a fully integrated new BSS/CRM/system, preferably with different software and systems.
Detailed knowledge of the telecoms industry, with a wide understanding all aspects of the industry in more than one environment.
Experience with implementation, development, design, support and operation of telecoms billing and CRM systems, provisioning, commissioning self care and DWH.
Experience with designing a solution architecture according to business requirements.
Facilitating workshops, presenting solutions to management and various stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
Experience with the implementation full software development lifecycle standards and best practices within the Telecommunications industry.
Experience with following and applying architectural principles.
Familiar with TMF eTOM, TAM, SID.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, comfortable in presenting and explaining solutions using pp to managers, stakeholders and other (non-technical) business owners.
Able to map complex business processes to the architectural framework and validate/ensure that the business processes are fully supported in the most efficient and effective way.
Strong technical skills. Aware of a variety of technical and architectural topics on the IT industry, mainly enterprise application technologies - server and client based. More specifically OOP (Java, C++), J2EE, SOA, Web Services, SOAP, XML, JMS, Apache Projects, Spring, UML, UNIX, LDAP, JDBC, SQL, Relational Databases and others.
Able to produce top level architecture design/document and ensure approach is in line with technical architecture roadmap, design standards/principles and applicable user interface standards.
This is an English speaking project.
