We are looking for a UMTS Basestation Integration Engineer (m/f) for our client in the area around Nuremberg with the below requested skills and for the following tasks:
Tasks
- Planning, preparation and execution of HW/SW integration and functional tests of a UMTS Basestation
- fundamental knowledge of the general WCDMA/UMTS 3GPP standards
- very good knowledge of the internal UMTS NodeB functionalities and features according to 3GPP rel. 6, 7, 8, 9 especially in the area of Layer-2 functionalities
- several years' experience in functional testing of UMTS Basestations regarding features
- Experience with the practical execution of WCDMA-NodeB End to End tests with commercial and test-end-devices (eg Aeroflex Test-UEs ) and RNC & Core-network simulators; including working experience with diagnose tools in the area of handsets/end-devices.
- several years' experience in the testing area of Embedded Real Time systems
- programming knowledge with C/C++
- very good understanding of Linux, as a user and also with Embedded Linux systems and their configuration/diagnose
- project experience in the area of IP based networks and the relevant tools
- experience with Scripting languages (eg Perl) for test-automation
- experience in the handling of HW test set-ups, including RF wiring, reference clocks and configuration of IP networks
Skills
The start will be ASAP and a duration of 6-9 months and the option for extension. There is also a possibility for a project-related employment at Harvey Nash and later on the option for a permanent position at the end-client.
