Data Analyst and Strategic Consultant:
* Excellent strategist with ability to provide wide-ranging suggestions with respect to application development in the .net, VBA, MS Office technologies, as well as the ability to translate and communicate these ideas into understandable suggestions for end-users, and the ability to prototype and develop said solution suggestions.
* Excellent knowledge in development of MS Office Access applications using VBA/VSTO technology, and excellent knowledge of the MS SQL Back End databases to design database structures and solutions.
* Excellent knowledge and proven experience of the implementation of SQL Reporting Services as a reporting tool within application development, and its integration possibilities with the MS Office component technologies.
* Knowledge, experience and proven key role in deployment, design, development and customisation of Microsoft Office products (all components, especially Access).
* Ability to prepare and deliver fully documented development solutions in English, as well as to assist users in the preparation and documentation of specifications and requirements.
* Proven experience in advice and design of VBA applications, together with testing experience and code migration to Office 2010.
* Very good knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and its integration with MS Project and Project Server, WSS, InfoPath, etc.
* Microsoft Certification and the appropriate experience levels in the above skills would be considered an advantage.
General Consultancy requirements:
* Ability to understand the terminology and processes of the Prince2 Project Management Methodology and the ability to work with this in a practised environment.
* Since the working location is Germany and the customers of this project are in the majority German, fluency in the German language or a preference for German is required.
* Since most of the documentation and software used in this technical department is in English, the candidate must be proficient in English, including both reading and writing English documentation when required. Proficiency in French would also be desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently and quickly, independently and with the ability to consult and coordinate work packages with the customer, often under time pressure.
* Ability to assess the need for escalation and involvement of line management wherever appropriate.
* Ability to analyse requirements, present solutions to management and customers, and communicate directly with users in a coherent way.
* Ability to hold ad-hoc workshops and training with customer groups is essential.
