A Leader in Renewable Energy that plans, builds and operates offshore wind farms along the coasts of several European countries. The interdisciplinary scope, the complexity and the sheer size of these projects, as well as the construction and operation under extreme environmental conditions, require special attention to a seamless integration and coordination of technical components and services.Within Wind Energy Offshore department is an international business unit with centres of excellence in both Germany and the UK. This position is based in Germany as an Interface Engineer, where they will work in the Offshore Engineering team which is involved in projects from the development stage through to design, construction and operation.
To fill this challenging integrative role in one of our projects, we are looking for an interface engineer with the following responsibilities:
Principal Accountabilities:
-Coordination of engineering work packages in close collaboration with the work package managers
-Definition of specific actions required from the different technical disciplines in all phases of a project, from design to construction and operation
-Continuous interaction and information exchange with discipline engineers regarding technical interfaces
-Resolution of engineering issues at interfaces
-Support of contract negotiations
-Checking and matching of technical specifications with regard to technical interfaces
-Coordination of the project certification process in the design phase
-Preparation and application of interface management tools (eg interface Matrix) throughout the project life cycle
Knowledge and Skills:
-Degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, industrial engineering, natural sciences or comparable discipline
-Ideally you will have experience with Grid Connections from and have an Electrical engineering background
-Knowledge in the field of (renewable) energy technology, process technology, or related technical disciplines
-Broad, interdisciplinary skill base and generalist mindset
-Proactive, creative and result-oriented with good organising abilities
-Teamplayer with strong interpersonal communication skills
-Previous work/project experience beneficial
-Excellent command of English, other EU languages an advantage (especially German)
