The role as explained is to be the right/left hand of the project leader, supporting him on hand for resolving SAP-Basis issues, preparing data for projects, etc…
The required Skills are shortly as follows:
- Netweaver 7.x
- SAP Job monitoring and recovery
- SAP Basis support for ECC 6.0 and BI 7.x, CRM 4.0, APO and HR
- SAP Printer-Connection
- Sap Authorization understanding and creation
- SAP Transport management (Release management)
- SAP Solution Manager
- SAP Enterprise Portal
- Being able to play a role in a global team, understanding roles and responsibilities
across the globe

1. Purpose:
o Data Center Consolidation of all (SAP, Non SAP and Infrastructure) services provided by outsourcing partner A (located in Germany) to another outsourcing partner B (located in Switzerland)
2. Framework
o Duration: “As soon as possible” to “June 2012”
o Effort: 2-3 days per week on average; evtl. auch mehr
o Project location: Munich with meetings in Frankfurt / D, Paris / F, Basel / CH
o Candidate reports to Sud-Chemie sub-project team lead strongly aligned with Clariant
3. Environment:
o 2:2:2 = English as the one project language and German as second, two different companies as outsourcing partners, two full fledged IT organizations
o IT landscape consists of SAP systems (ECC, BI, APO, HR etc.) and associated systems (e.g. SAP archive, Adobe Print, wagging systems); other “Non SAP” applications are handled in another sub-project
o Heterogeneous migration from UNIX/Oracle to Windows
o Migration strategy and timing is a given
4. Tasks:
o Gather know-how from internal SAP Basis expert
o Ensure successful migration
o Define test “strategy” resp. test approach and test cases (for IT and Business) jointly with
SAP process / SAP modules experts
o Test execution on IT related tests
o Define technical migration set-up and implement
o Quality Control of technical migration set-up which are implemented by external
outsourcing partners
o Prepare for sign-off from application owners
5. Skills and Experiences:
o 8+ years Project Management skills, or comparable successful project assignments
o Hands-on mentality
o Experience in Data Center Consolidation projects
o Understanding on global SAP Architecture
o SAP Basis support (operational experience and related to project work)
o Deep matter expert in “heterogeneous SAP migration” (change of Hardware, OS and Database)
o Strong orientation towards results
o Communication skills towards IT experts, other external IT vendors, and Business testers
