We are looking for two (2) Oracle Application Express APEX3 - developer(s) to develop and maintain software products based on the Oracle Application Express (version 3) at our multinational client in Bonn/Germany.The contract is for a period starting ASAP until the end of the year (approx. 2 months), extensions are possible.

BACKGROUND:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Information Systems Delivery (ISD) and the direct supervision of the Information Systems Project Officer, the consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining software products based on the Oracle Application Express version 3. In particular the consultant:
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers, analyses and records end user requirements by communicating to the end users and determining whether the stated requirements are clear and complete. Requirements are documented using issue and project tracking tool (JIRA);
- Provides estimates on the work required, tracks time and issue status in JIRA;
- Develops web applications using Oracle Application Express version 3 by creating/changing application, web forms and reports;
- Creates/changes Oracle 10g database schemata, tables, views and materialized views based on the data provided by the end users;
- Writes PL/SQL code by creating/changing procedures, triggers, views and materialized views, using Oracle SQL developer tool;
- Modifies existing HTML templates, creates new templates using latest HTML and CSS standards and Java Script language.
PROFILE OF THE CONSULTANT - Qualifications required:
- Experience in web application development
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience in Oracle Application Express 3 is essential
- Good knowledge of Oracle 10g
- Knowledge and practical experience with Oracle PL/SQL, XHTML 1.1, HTML5, CSS and Java Script.
- Experience working independently, as a part of a team and representing the team in meetings with the customer
- Customer orientation, self-motivation and positive attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, high quality written and fluent spoken English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
DURATION of the initial contract:
The contract is for a period starting ASAP until the end of the year (approx. 2 months), extensions are possible.
LOCATION of work: at client premises in Bonn/Germany.
