A European Renewable Energy organisation requires a Foundations Package Manager for their offshore wind farm projects to be based in Germany. The company dedicates themselves to generating energy out of wind, biomass and biogas. Their unit is also committed to the development of emerging technologies such as PV, geothermal and wave energy.The Package Manager of Wind Turbine Foundations will be a technically challenging role and will require significant management through all stages: development, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning.
Working in the Offshore Project Team you will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:
. Management of the development of procurement and construction strategies
. Management of the preparation of Enquiry Documents
. Management of the assessment of contractor`s competence, tender assessment, contract negotiations and award of contract
. Management of contracts for transportation, fabrication and installation of steel offshore foundations
. Preparation and management of budgets
. Participation in the development of technical and contractual specifications with the objective of improving quality, minimising delivery time and fabrication costs of foundations
. Management of Quality Control activities related to the fabrication of steel foundation including audits and inspections of contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers
. Preparation of control reports such as detail time planning, progress reports, deviation reports, cost reports, input to risk register and other status reports
. Management of commissioning and handover activities
. Preparation of close out reports including lesson learned reports at end of contract
Experience required:
. Your employment history may include working for wind power companies, offshore oil and gas companies, general offshore construction companies, power companies, or general engineering consultancies
. Project management experience and good interpersonal skills
. Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an suitable discipline
. Experience of design, installation, commissioning or handover of Foundations package in an offshore wind project
. Experience of working on large construction projects in multi-disciplined teams
. Experience in the design, construction and installation of large industrial structures
. Good experience of health and safety legislation
. German and English speaking essential
