For one of our clients we are looking for a Software asset and license management expert

Task Description:

We are conducting a software asset and license management (SALM) optimization project focusing on:
- SALM roles and responsibility across multiple entities of the organization
- Software license planning process optimization
- Software license portfolio optimization project
The project will develop recommendations for the future SALM as well as a high-level implementation roadmap.
Besides conceptual and strategic work, we will provide operational and tactical support to help the client save cost by optimizing use of current license contracts and by consolidating the SW portfolio.

Main task:

- Assess current SALM function (organization, roles, processes, tools etc.)
- Develop future best practice model for SALM
- Develop roadmap to get from current state to future state
- Define optimized license planning process
- Define strategies to optimize current SW portfolio
- Identify and implement SW portfolio optimization quick-wins

Work may be split between the 2 resources so that 1 contractor focuses on the strategic aspects, the other one on the operational aspects.

Required skills:
- Very good knowledge of software license and asset management (tools, processes, SW license models etc.)
- Process design
- IT capability assessment

Nice to have skills:
- Organizational design
- Cost optimization

Language Abilities:
German fluent required
(company and project language)
