One of our customers in Nuremberg is looking for a test consultant (f/m) with LTE and L2/L3 know-how.
The consultant's responsibility is to test and troubleshoot the modem protocol stack software by means of system simulators, with focus on the Layer 2 and Layer 3, in cooperation with the customer's software design department.
Job description/ Consultant tasks
- Preparation of Test specifications according to system requirements and 3GPP Standard documentation
- Implementation of Test Scenarios and Test Cases based on test specifications
- Mobile Platform SW Test including log file analysis and troubleshooting in close cooperation with test suppliers and SW developers
- Error reporting
Required competence:
- Minimum Master of Science or similar degree in relevant Telecommunication/Engineering field
- Very good understanding of Access SW layers (with major focus on Layer 2 and Layer 3; good understanding of L1 also requested)
- Knowledge of 3GPP LTE/UMTE/HSDPA standards
- Previous experience in mobile SW testing and test case implementation using system simulators (e.g. R&S, Anite, Anritsu), signal generators and signal analyzers
- Experience with test execution and scripting languages
- Programming in C/C++, Perl and CM Tools (ClearCase)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Positive, open-minded and pro-active personality
