Task:
The group develops and supports a portfolio of critical applications. The applications cover :

- Trade lifecycle management and real time risk management for the 50+ financial instruments used by the business groups above
- Real Time Settlement provision and Financial posting to the Banks' General Accounting Ledger for the trading activity
- Analytics and feeds to the central market risk analytic engines
- Trade feeds to systems all over the globe
- High performance static data business rules engines for trade enrichment processing
- High performance trade acceptance and workflow routing processing
- High performance rates engines for real time trade regulation and financial processes
- Secure client applications for trading, middle office and back office purposes

Technology Environment:
- C++ Multi-threaded application server -side development
- Multiple clusters of UNIX Solaris Sparc 10.x (moving to x86 next year)
- Multiple instances of Sybase ASE 15.x running on Linux
- Sybase Replication Server 15.6
- Sybase IQ 15.x running on Linux
- MQ Server 6/7 for messaging middleware
- SSD technologies for all disk/ file operations

Requirements (Must have):
We are looking for a professional software engineer to join the development group. The team that he/ she will be joining, is responsible for many developments across those application areas described above. The performance, scalability and resilience characteristics of the applications and supporting technologies requires an experienced commerical software engineer with a proven track record in environments with this level of application complexity and exacting service level demands.

- Minimum of 5 years application development in high volume trading or messaging environments, where applications are written in C++ and use multi-threading
- UNIX Solaris Sparc 10.x, and ideally some Solaris x86 knowledge
- Sybase ASE 12.5.x minimum (ideally 15.x), and ideally some Sybase IQ 15.x knowledge
- Corba
- IBM Websphere (MQ)
- Strong analysis and testing skills
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-skilled, multi-team environment
- Strong collaboration and presentation skills
